Antarctica

Need a breath of super cool air this summer? Why not go on a Cruise to Antarctica, the famed “White Continent”? The coolness of the air in this place will surely blow you away… but not in a bad way. The view is so breathtaking and so unlike any place you’ve been to. Some of you might think that it is a crazy idea. Well, Antarctica is just really for the spirited and the adventurous!

The period between November to March, which is summer time, is the most feasible time to take a visit to this place. This is the time you’ll experience the so called katabatic winds. Of course you’ll have to wear the appropriate clothing for this trek to the “White Continent”.

World Largest Pool

Swimming is a great hobby and an excellent form of exercise. A 50-yard pool would already be great, especially if your aim is only to exercise and get rid of the kinks in your body. A hundred yard pool is already huge for my taste, especially if I’d be swimming alone. So what more with a pool that is over 1,000 yards long?! Yes, there is such pool now. This can be found in Chile. And because of its really huge size of over 1,000 yards long, 115ft deep end and a capacity of 66 million gallons of water, there is no doubt this seaside pool is the new record holder for Guinness Book as the biggest pool in the globe. The second biggest pool found in Morocco, named Orthlieb, looks like a dwarf compared to this since it only measures 150 yards in length and 100 yards in width.

traffic jam in cairo

Anyone who has been lucky enough to visit any part of Egypt, especially about ten years ago, will bear witness that Egypt is a great tourist attraction and has a vibrant abundance of color, life and warmth. However, incoming Egyptian Tourism Authority (ETA) chairman has seen that it is fit to fix a few things in Cairo to revive tourism in the area. He made a very valid point when he said that ‘Cairo has all the basics to make it a wonderful city, the problem is that there are 18 million people living there’. The overpopulated are in turn suffers from traffic jam and severe congestion, which is not appealing to most tourists.

People travel for different reasons, sometimes for business and other times for leisure. But whatever your reasons may be comfort and convenience are things that you cannot do without. Especially nowadays that staying connected is a vital factor in this very mobile and fast-paced society that we live in. Well, correct me if I am wrong of course.

The Bay of Islands, New Zealand

Compared to other countries, New Zealand can still be considered a very natural habitat because of the pristine resources present in it. It is only recently that New Zealand became a very popular tourist destination. This country is so rich in natural resources particularly in marine supply. Just a little add-on, New Zealand is the setting of the blockbuster movie Lord of the Rings; yes I’m sure you know that.

Fiji Island

A lot of people get the feeling of getting away from it all. Well I know I do, sometimes. When you think about it, it will be just so nice be away from all things familiar, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. I think it will be a worthwhile experience to simply relax, bask in the warm sunshine while in the midst of a glorious strip of nature.

One place I would love to go to is Fiji Island. This place offers the best of the world for both the party goers and also for people seeking solitude and would just want to commune with nature. If you want peace and quiet you can just head out to any of the hundreds of tropical islands of Fiji.

Beyond doubt, these man-made wonders both from the ancient, medieval and modern world are among the best tourist destinations in the world. The fact that they have been carefully planned by greatest architects, designers and rulers in history and wrought by the most dexterous hands makes them eternally remarkable.

1. Pyramids of Egypt – lasting symbols of Ancient Egyptian civilization.
2. Great Wall of China – the world’s longest man-made structure... truly amazing!
3. Taj Mahal of India – a great testament of Muslim Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan’s love for his wife.
4. Angkor Wat, Cambodia – a well-preserved religious temple built in the 12th century.
5. Eiffel Tower, France– the tallest structure in Paris, absolutely breathtaking!

Most people travel to see different places, meet different people and experience various cultures they’re not accustomed to, but some people travel for the sole purpose of satisfying desires for something like coffee! If you love coffee and traveling then you probably won’t mind too traveling hundreds of miles and spending lots of money just to get a taste of the best coffee in the world. You might want to make your trip more enriching and enjoyable this time by embarking on a journey through coffee’s rich history.

Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony

Drinking coffee started in Ethiopia and from there it spread to the world through Egypt and Europe. Today, coffee is an integral part of Ethiopians’ culture. They typically perform coffee ceremonies when friends come to visit. An invitation to attend a coffee ceremony is a special honor and thus, one must not hesitate to join the family in the ceremonial preparation of the coffee.

The best things in life are free and I think one of those best things is watching the sun set. Sunsets are so dramatic and watching them gives you delightful feeling, whether you watch them over the white sandy beaches, over the prairie, the dunes or mountains. I bet there’s no reason for you not to appreciate the view of a setting sun whether you watch it alone or with a good friend or a loved one.

Do you love watching the sunset, too? If you do, you might want to go to these places that offer picturesque views of sunset:

Santorini Greece

Santorini, Greece –this group of volcanic islands in the Aegean Sea is one of Europe’s best tourist destinations and is considered by many as the best place in the world to watch the sunset. It offers fantastic views of the ocean and breathtaking view of Ios Island.

Egypt

Egypt –Imagine the Great Pyramid of Giza standing imperially high against the sun, which gradually sinks below the horizon—but before it finally disappears, it lingers for a while to give you a fantastic view you have long waited for. Just the thought of it is pleasurable.

Space-ial Trip

Okay, you love traveling; you’ve been to the edge back. You’d go everywhere, by whatever means possible—air, land and sea—and at all costs. But would you pay $100 million just to travel to the moon? Space Adventures offered that trip last year, the most ambitious space trip offered to private explorers so far. Well, if only I have such a big sum of money and still had lots of extra cash (just to make sure I don’t get bankrupt), then probably I would—but probably not, considering Space Adventure’s new and cheaper travel offering, a spacewalk!

Deciding where to retire isn’t just for the old ones. In fact, a lot of young professionals nowadays are keen on saving for their retirement years, looking forward to traveling, seeing different places all over the world and settling in a new place where they can meaningfully spend their life after work. It’s actually a positive way of looking at the fact that we’ll all grow old. So instead of complaining about getting old, why not just work hard and save for the future? To give you some inspiration, here’s what I’ve researched about the best places to retire. You might want to save more so you can go to all of these beautiful places:

Alaska

For most Westerners the month of July and August are ideal for traveling; chances are they’ll head for the most popular tourist destinations like those in the tropical regions. Expect that popular tourist destinations are teeming with local and foreign vacationers alike and in these places, rentals and prices food, drink and transportation are most likely at their peak. If you want to save yet still manage to get a superb and memorable vacation, take the unusual route of travelers, go north to Alaska!

Cadbury Chocolate

Chocolate can make or break your travel experience. It melts before you can eat it in Hawaii; it gets old before you can buy it in France; and it will empty your wallet in Belgium. But in Ireland, my daughter and I discovered a well-kept secret: Cadbury makes a wide variety of chocolate bars available ONLY to the Irish and Brits: mint cookie chocolate bars, raspberry filled chocolate bars, Shortbread cookie dipped in chocolate and so many more. Why does Cadbury keep the good stuff from the US? It just ain’t right!
