Do you want to see and experience something new for your holidays? Why not try traveling to Ecuador. Yup, let’s go South America this time!
The cold and snow can be strenuous after a while so going to this tropic place will be heavenly. You don’t need to travel the whole of the country, the specific place that I can point out where you can spend a unique and unforgettable holiday is Cuenca.

If you love colorful festivals then you will love Cuenca all the more this Christmas. During this season you will experience the parade which they call “Pase del Niño Viajero”. Take note that if you don’t want to miss this parade which is believed to be the best in the whole of Ecuador make sure you are staying in town. The celebration starts at 10 am at San Sebastian and ends at San Blas. This parade is accompanied by a lot of musicians so even if you are some distance away you’ll feel the festiveness in the air. Horses and trucks are fancily designed 0to go along with the festivity. You can also feast your eyes on the colorfully-costumed children; some of them even dress up as biblical figures. Oh what fun!
Wait! I’m not through yet! Why not experience the whole festival through the end? On New Year’s Eve they have the traditional burning of the “Años Viejos” which signify the past year. An amazing display of fireworks is another treat in store for you at Cuenca, Ecuador!
