Summer isn’t over yet but autumn isn't far away. If you wish to travel this autumn, you better start planning your trip now. Well if you haven’t decided where to go yet, here’s a suggestion: Florence, Italy! Autumn is a great time to visit this enchanting Italian city, especially from September till October when crowds are fewer and temperature is so mild. Autumn is definitely a perfect time to explore the narrow streets of Florence and breathe its rich Renaissance atmosphere. If you want to learn Italian language, Florence is also the perfect place to go to as modern Italian is based on the Florentine dialect.

Florence is at the heart of Tuscany, Italy and is the home of the finest art and architectural works. It is known as the birthplace of Italian Renaissance. Among the best places to visit in Florence is the “Duomo,” the dome of the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore that dominates aerial view of the city of Florence. The dome was created initially by Brunelleschi in the 15th century and was completed by Michelozzo after his death. Near the cathedral are the Campanille tower and the octagonal Battistero di San Giovanni, which is believed to be the oldest building in the city. It is famous for its splendid bronze doors with panels depicting scenes from Old and New Testament. The doors were designed by several famous Italian artists and are in themselves impressive masterpieces.
