Space-ial Trip

Okay, you love traveling; you’ve been to the edge back. You’d go everywhere, by whatever means possible—air, land and sea—and at all costs. But would you pay $100 million just to travel to the moon? Space Adventures offered that trip last year, the most ambitious space trip offered to private explorers so far. Well, if only I have such a big sum of money and still had lots of extra cash (just to make sure I don’t get bankrupt), then probably I would—but probably not, considering Space Adventure’s new and cheaper travel offering, a spacewalk!

Japanese business tycoon Daisuke Enomoto is the lucky man who will get a privilege of strolling outside the International Space Station for 90 minutes together with a trained cosmonaut. This would already allow him to view the earth from afar and experience “complete day-time and nigh-time” says Space Adventures’ president and CEO Eric Anderson. Enomoto shall pay $15 million for this spacewalk, apart from the $20 million fare for his 10-day round trip aboard the station. He is now training for this special trip on September.
