Tunisia, a country filled with beautiful people, beaches, Sahara desert. This country has any thing anybody could possibly want; the north is green, with a Mediterranean climate, the centre Miami climate and the south a desert. So whether you want a beach holiday or desert tour... then Tunisia is the country for you.
I must suggest to dress modestly even on the beaches, stressing that bikinis are unsuitable, and a more appropriate option would be a tankini and shorts for swimming in, since this is a Muslim county, which no one wants to see spoilt.
Always remember to cover shoulders and legs when entering a Mosque.

i loved the article ,, Tunisia is a stunning country , definitly one of the greatest mediterranean destinations , however i don't agree with the part you're saying dress conservative ,,, all women in this country swimm in bikini and the night clubs here are beyong the number of people loool so i think you should correct this info !
Lina I think they were talking more about entering a mosque, but those that you saw are either visiters or just there not fallowing our religion in the way they are suposed to be. any ways tunisia ROKS. VIVA TUNNNNNNNNNIIIIIIIIIiSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEEE the best :)
Yasmine ,,, They're probably talking about the mosques , but about whom u're treating "not following the religion" i think they have the right to do whatever they want just like you probably do whatever you want too .. People in Tunisia are mostly Muslims but a small christian and jewish community do exist and co-habit 2gether from a very long time ... the remaining are born Muslims and i think it's absolutly legitimate for them to wear whatever they want , The Tunisian laws are secular and separate religion from power and/or way of life and so are the people ... So i think i can make a difference between a Tunisian and a foreigner ...because i know this country really really well and i love it with a passion because it's the sparkling flower of the Arab nation ... Viva Tunisia and Viva the freedom and Viva the Euro-Afri-Arab way of life of the tunisians ,,,, They are the best and i envy you for such a great culture !
Thanks Lina for your kind words.
Indeed, Tunisia is a very progressive and modern arab country.
The islam there is very soft and tolereant. The country is secular and everyone is free to take the dress he wants.
Personly i'm atheist and i have no problem to live in Tunisia.
tunisia forever
GOD BLESS OUR COUNTRY
Lina if you know it well then im from there born and raised, and soo proud of it so i was not saying nobody can do whatever thet want, because everybody is free to do what ever they want. I was just trying tell that maybe their main point was mosques. So u did not need to go off on me like that.
Tunis forever. :)
