Sousse, a city in Tunisia with 250,000 inhabitants. Sousse is situated on the Gulf of Hammamet, and is the most important junction for overland communications in Tunisia. The economical base for Sousse is transport equipment, processed food, olive oil, textiles and tourism.

The landmark of Sousse is the Great Mosque and the ribat, both from the 9th century. Sousse is extended to the north with a touristic zone, the Port El Kantaoui, which stretches for kilometres along the beach.
