Samsung is taking their role to heart as the official cell phone provider for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. A few months back they have already released the Samsung P318+ Gold handset to serve as a sign for the commemorative phone for the said event. But now they have another phone under their sleeve, the Samsung Anycall 18K Gold Edition E848.

I must say that the design is much more improved than the 318+Gold. This Samsung Anycall 18K Gold Edition E848 features a much bigger screen and it’s made in a glossy slider design. When you turn it over you’ll see the Olympic logo clearly embossed at the back. The display is a 2.2-inch QVGA with 320 x 240 resolution LCD screen. For storage the E848 features 70MB of built-in memory that can be used for media playback. It also has microSD expansion slot for more storage. You can connect via quad-band and Bluetooth 2.0. This also supports different formats like P3, AAC, WMA and MPEG4. Aside from being having a media player, this new Samsung phone has GSM radio to keep you entertained.

Samsung is also known for their excellent-looking phones. They have a new addition to their smartphone line-up with the Samsung Blackjack II. This new phone contains features and capabilities that are even better than its predecessor. You’ll notice the difference even in the design. The Blackjack II is slimmer than the previous model and it has a certain appeal that you will love. Wine red and piano black are the colors available for this phone.

Samsung is set to conquer the world of MP3 players with their upcoming YP-P2 and YP-T10 players. This is not just any ordinary music player because three Bluetooth headsets can be attached to this single player. So even with just one player, you can have triple fun and entertainment using the compatible Samsung YA-BH270 Bluetooth headsets. September is the expected target month for the official release of the YP-P2 and YP-T10.

Samsung unveiled the new Samsung Blast, which is another stylish and functional phone integrating instant messaging, music and Internet application in one neat device. Making it quite trendy is its slider design in a black motif. It is also just a small phone weighing 2.8 ounces and 1/2 –inch thick. Sliding it up will reveal that SureType keyboard which looks almost the same as the famous QWERTY keypad. Samsung delivers 2 new phones belonging in the Disney Mobile network. These two new phones are the DM-S105 and the DM-S110. These two phones have been created in order to provide parents with a good means of keeping track of their offspring. This is done because the Disney Mobile service enables parents to keep track of the spending, calls made and location of the phone via GPS. They are quite ideal because they offer very comprehensive mobile phone service.

Another interesting phone from Samsung was unveiled recently. Welcome the new Samsung SGH-G600 that’s equipped with a 5-megapixel camera built with an amazing auto focus and flash. The 5-megapixel camera on a cell phone is a first for Samsung. This kind of built-in camera will enable you to capture crisp and clear images whether during daytime or nighttime, whether videos or still shots. Prior to the intro of the largest LCD TV Samsung has also unveiled another of product in its handset line-up which is the Samsung E950 or SGH-E950. The 3rd quarter of this year will definitely be something to look forward so as this is the time that the SGH-E950 will be made available in stores. This stylish slider phone got its inspiration from the previous Samsung phone the Samsung E900, so don’t be surprised if you see some close resemblance.

The newest and grandest Samsung 70-inch LCD TV is certainly another object of envy for anyone who desires to have the best gizmos in the home. Before this came out, the largest LCD TV is the one created by Sharp which measures 65-inches…and Samsung topped it once again with this latest full definition LCD TV. Samsung 70-inch LCD was unveiled Thursday and is now commercially available in Korea. By the second half of 2007 Samsung also plans to cater this hugest LCD TV to the rest of the world.

Samsung is one of the world-renowned developers of hardware and software in the world of technology. And now Samsung has come up with a 4GB multi-chip memory package that is aimed for use in mobile phones. This new chip is called “moviMCP”. This package has a NAND flash memory inside it that is referred to as the moviNAND. When used in the production of handsets, cell phone manufacturers will be able to do away with the card slot and the interface software. Doing so will make the production process faster.

A more silent and high-speed hard drive is on its way as Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd announced its SpinPoint line of hard drives. This offering is definitely something better as it has more speed and reliability. Better computing can be looked forward to as the 3.5-inch Samsung Spinpoint s166 drives is integrated with Samsung’s SlientSeek and NoiseGuard that allows for 7,200 RPM with less noise. The two options are available – 80Gb and 160 BG can generate 24dB and 27.5 dB respectively. Some of the enhancements done further to the drives is the new fly-height adjustment technology, optimized actuator assembly and an upgraded controller. This controller provides thermal, transfer speed and power consumption enhancements.
