Samsung Olympic Phone

Samsung is not yet content with the P318+ phone that it has produced for this year’s Olympics. The company once again unveils a new Olympic phone – the SGH-D780 DuoS. It’s going to be more gold for this year’s Olympics since this latest phone is gold-plated again. To be functional, this phone is built with a 2.1-inch QVGA screen for viewing messages and for browsing the internet. This phone has a 2-megapixel camera for taking impromptu pictures. FM radio is also included to keep you entertained while on the go. Bluetooth, USB 2.0, and microSD card slot are also provided.

There is a new offering from Samsung. The company announced the launch of the new i900 Omnia handset. Some say that this is Samsung’s hit against Apple’s second iPhone. By it’s appearance the Samsung i900 Omnia looks like a worthy competitor to the iPhone. The i900 Omnia is also a touchscreen phone that is Samsung’s very first unit to possess the Windows Mobile 6.1 as its operating system. This 12.5 mm-thick smartphone is installed with a huge 3.2-inch 400 x 240 WQVGA display. It works using quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE+HSDPA network. Connectivity is also possible with the wireless Bluetooth and WiFi. A 5-mgeapixel camera with auto focus is also included in the phone’s features. It’s an advanced sort of camera because of its smile detection and auto panorama capabilities.

Samsung Electronics has a new product that will take computing to a higher level. The company announced it will launch a flash memory-based solid-state disk having a 256GB capacity this year. Customer samples will be available by September, but the rest of the production will be at the end of this year. Contrary to its capacity, the SSD is on the small side in terms of dimensions since it only measures 2.5-inches and 19 millimeters. This chip is capable of a read speed of 200M bytes per second and sequential write speed of 160M bytes per second.

Samsung is showing its capability in handset innovation in its newly released gadget – the Samsung Glyde with its official name Samsung SCH-U940. One look and you’ll immediately in love with this device. Yes, it is that attractive, having a sliding QWERTY keyboard. Aside from that, the Samsung Glyde is also has the most coveted touchscreen feature. Being a toucscreen, the Samsung Glyde is said to be another competitor to the iPhone.

While surfing the net I had a glimpse of the excellent look of the two new handsets from Samsung, the Samsung F490 and the P720. Maybe I’m easily impressed… but I just really think these two new handsets look great.

The F490 is a high-end phone with 5-megapixel camera. And the most noticeable feature is the huge 3.2 touchscreen that features 432 x 240 resolution. And another great thing is it will come with HSPDA or 3G technology. This one is a very stylish phone that can even rival the iPhone in terms of looks. Though there is still no other mention of the other features it contains.

There’s a new handset that can be availed from T-Mobile; they have recently released the all-new Samsung Katalyst.
You may want to know the highlight of this new T-Mobile phone, the best thing about the Samsung Katalyst is that it provides T-Mobile’s HotSpot@Home Service. By just going on WiFi hotspot the user can make nationwide calls, and take note it’s for unlimited calls! And on top of that this phone is also a very stylish with its slider design and slim make up measuring just 4” x 2” x .65”. And it also just weighs 113 grams. The overall color is a fashionable metallic silver finish that I like.

Samsung SLM

AT&T has released another new handset. The latest Samsung SLM from AT&T makes us reminisce of some of the Motorola handsets. This new Samsung handset is also the first to have a name that consists only of three letters. It carries with is features like the stereo Bluetooth, expandable memory and 2.0-megapixel camera with video. This phone also has the ability to download content at a fast rate because of the HSPDA cellular network. Aside from that, the Samsung SLM is also full of multimedia and music capabilities like AT&T’s Video Share.

Samsung Anycall 18K Gold edition

Samsung is taking their role to heart as the official cell phone provider for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. A few months back they have already released the Samsung P318+ Gold handset to serve as a sign for the commemorative phone for the said event. But now they have another phone under their sleeve, the Samsung Anycall 18K Gold Edition E848.

I must say that the design is much more improved than the 318+Gold. This Samsung Anycall 18K Gold Edition E848 features a much bigger screen and it’s made in a glossy slider design. When you turn it over you’ll see the Olympic logo clearly embossed at the back. The display is a 2.2-inch QVGA with 320 x 240 resolution LCD screen. For storage the E848 features 70MB of built-in memory that can be used for media playback. It also has microSD expansion slot for more storage. You can connect via quad-band and Bluetooth 2.0. This also supports different formats like P3, AAC, WMA and MPEG4. Aside from being having a media player, this new Samsung phone has GSM radio to keep you entertained.

Samsung Blackjack II smartphone

Samsung is also known for their excellent-looking phones. They have a new addition to their smartphone line-up with the Samsung Blackjack II. This new phone contains features and capabilities that are even better than its predecessor. You’ll notice the difference even in the design. The Blackjack II is slimmer than the previous model and it has a certain appeal that you will love. Wine red and piano black are the colors available for this phone.

Samsung is set to conquer the world of MP3 players with their upcoming YP-P2 and YP-T10 players. This is not just any ordinary music player because three Bluetooth headsets can be attached to this single player. So even with just one player, you can have triple fun and entertainment using the compatible Samsung YA-BH270 Bluetooth headsets. September is the expected target month for the official release of the YP-P2 and YP-T10.

Samsung unveiled the new Samsung Blast, which is another stylish and functional phone integrating instant messaging, music and Internet application in one neat device. Making it quite trendy is its slider design in a black motif. It is also just a small phone weighing 2.8 ounces and 1/2 –inch thick. Sliding it up will reveal that SureType keyboard which looks almost the same as the famous QWERTY keypad. You might or you might not like this kind of keypad but for sure you’ll get used to it after some time. Though it is a small phone the new Samsung Blast has room for microSD expansion slot. And it has a 1.3 megapixel camera.
