Got a Nokia N97? Be one of the first to try out Nokia’s newly announced app, the Ovi Lifecasting. This is currently available as a beta version. Ovi Lifecasting is basically a tool that enables a user to stream updates to his Facebook account using the N97 mobile phone or the N97 mini. But, before that can be done, the user must first download the Ovi Maps and Ovi Lifecasting widget straight into his device. Then he must log on to his Nokia account and then connect to Facebook. From there he can already make updates about his location as well as his status.

Nokia To Ship 3G USB Modems in 2009!

Aside from providing cell phones with 3G capabilities, Nokia is now also laying its hands on mobile broadband modems. Nokia’s vice president for hardware platform components Tapio Markki said in his interview with Reuters that the company is tapping its expertise in 3G technology and will start shipping its first mobile “dongles” or Internet stick in early 2009. Users will be able to connect to the internet via wireless broadband networks using HSPA. That is all Nokia revealed right now. No word as to how much the dongle will cost.

Make way for Nokia N96 North American Edition, N85, and N79 – three new handsets that are equipped with superb capabilities. The N96 NAM is of a dual-slider design with a kickstand at the back. It comes with an amazing 16GB internal memory and microSD expansion slot if the user requires more storage for lots of videos and pictures. Taking photos and videos is ideal with the 5-megapixel camera and dual-LED flash. This smartphone also comes with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and A-GPS. Nokia 5610 XpressMusic Now Available from T-Mobile

If I recall correctly, Nokia released two cell phone models under the XpressMusic line. Looks like, Nokia is ready to add another music centered handset for its range of musically inclined customers. The latest addition to the line is the Nokia 5610 XpressMusic handset. T-Mobile announced that this particular handset is available in the network starting on August 10. As a dedicated music device, the Nokia 5610 is equipped with a media player, music slider key, A2DP stereo Bluetooth and FM radio. This is compatible a variety of formats namely AAC, eAAC+, MP3 and WMA. This slider handset has a radiant 2.2-inch QVGA display.
