Nintendo dishes up a new feature that will make enthusiasts have more interactive fun! Nintendo Wii users have had lots of fun with the Nintendo Mii Channel because through this, users are able to create characters that they can use in the games, so it’s like really putting yourself into the game. To make things even better Nintendo launched a new channel called “Check Mii Out” on November 11. This aims to promote more interaction among Wii users since they will be able to upload, view and vote the best Mii creations.

To make gaming even more fun for hard-core Nintendo gamers, the company finally unveils the Wii Zapper. By its name alone you can already envision action-packed activities. But what actually is this Zapper? Wii Zapper is handy housing for the Wii-mote and Nunchuck controller that when integrated altogether looks like a hand gun…a plastic one anyway. The Wii Zapper will be available in stores just in time for the holiday shopping. And aside from the Zapper Nintendo has another special treat! The Wii Zapper pack will come with a Zelda game. What could be more exciting for fans?

It seems like there will be no stopping the comparison among the game consoles. Almost every month facts and figures are being drawn out just to show which among the Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 is the most dominating one…using sales figures as the basis. But so far in the recent count, Nintendo’s Wii still holds its own on the top most spot in the Japanese market! For the sales statistics in August, Nintendo was able to sell 245,653 units; comparing to Sony’s 81,541 units obviously Nintendo still holds up the trump cards…and that despite Sony dropping the price of their PS3s. All these numbers are quoted by the Japanese game magazine Enterbrain.

Nintendo yesterday announced the arrival of their new addition to the DS Lite handheld game console. There have been some reports about this upcoming new DS Lite in the previous months but it was only yesterday that Nintendo officially confirmed it. The new DS Lite is a stylish and colorful one, just like the other goody game consoles released by Nintendo. This one’s color scheme is called crimson and onyx, but simply put, it’s a red-and-black color combination.

Too much gaming can lead to a sedentary lifestyle since the only body parts that usually get involved are the hands…but that is abut to change with the new Nintendo Wii goody. On Wednesday at the E3 video-game Convention, Nintendo introduced the new Wii Fit! A new game that will not only provide superb entertainment but also encourage fitness for the whole family. This Wii Fit comes with the Wii Balance Board that’s built with several features that will give not only fun gaming but fitness awareness as well! Four types of fitness training are targeted by the WIi Fit:

To gamers out there, especially those who are into the Nintendo DS will be real glad to know that their favorite gaming gadget now has a new addition on it. Together with the new Face Training game comes the tiny camera integrated into the device. The camera is a very vital feature in the Face Training game because as the name implies the user needs to see his or her face, a game that actually encourages face exercise - scrunch up the nose, twist mouth this way and that, raise eyebrows up to the hairline and a lot more. With the Face Training you not only enjoy the game but you also get to exercise the tissues of your face! Talk about double purpose!

The fact that Nintendo Co. was included in the top ten companies in Japan should be a victory in itself. Nintendo co is now in line with huge and well-known companies like Canon, Honda Motor and Toyota motor corp. It is really such an achievement since Sony with its Sony PlayStation has dominated the game industry for the past ten years. Sony’s market shares dropped by 1.1% or 6.50 trillion yen while Nintendo’s shares were strong with 1.5% increasing its market value about 6.54 trillion yen or $53 billion.

Did I hear anyone say that the console war is over? Huh, you are so wrong if that is what you think because the race is still on. Nintendo in particular aims to be number one by declaring its target sales of 35 million Nintendo Wii consoles in the US market alone by the year 2011 or 2012. Yes, this is straight from the lips of Nintendo of America marketing chief George Harrison in his interview with Bloomberg.

After much disappointment of Nintendo fans over the Wii not being on the top spot last year, they will be glad to know that for this first quarter Nintendo finally managed to nail down the top 2 spots as the best-selling new video game systems in America. The two top spots is attributed to Nintendo’s DS and Wii game console. This is according to the information gathered by the NPD group. According to NPD Wii also remains to be the fastest selling new console as seen from its sales performance over the last five months of being out in the market. The DS as well is making it well in the market with sales units just a little short of reaching 1.25 million for the first quarter 2007. With these figures Nintendo really went over ahead its competitors.

Nintendo Wii gamers will be glad to hear that there is a new addition to their enjoyment. Game developer Sega has recently announced that they are developing the sequel “NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams” exclusively for the Nintendo Wii. Gamers are in for another one of a kind gaming experience, as Sega America Vice President of Marketing Scott A Steinberg said, “We plan to deliver a game play experience never before seen on the Wii with 'NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams'. The game takes full advantage of the unique Wii remote controller, enabling gamers to guide NiGHTS through spectacularly designed dream worlds intertwined with a story about hope and courage."

The Nintendo audience has now also taken a shift. Do you know that you can now have the Nintendo gaming experience whether on land or at sea? Yes this is exactly true, but only if you embark on the Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) for your cruise. Nintendo is now going online so you Nintendo addicts had better watch out for it. Nintendo will be using the GameSpy platform in order to take Nintendo Wii gaming online. Nintendo fans won’t have that long a wait because going online has been planned for the summer. Nintendo Wii online opens new avenues for gamers because they can have advanced matchmaking, friend rosters comprehensive ranking data and various community features. The GameSpy platform has been tried and tested by the Nintendo company already in their online DS games.

Whoever said that the console war is over? It will never be over for as long as there are still buyers out there craving to get their hands on any of these superb gaming pieces. And take note that there are still a lot of gamers in various parts of the world who are not able to get their share of Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PS3 and Nintendo Wii.

But between the Wii and PS3, it looks like Wii is gaining headway from this competitor. The first advantage is the price. Wii sells for $249, almost half the price of the most inexpensive PS3. Another thing, many gamers are attracted by the Wii’s interactive capabilities. No more just sitting around and punching buttons.
