Nintendo dishes up a new feature that will make enthusiasts have more interactive fun! Nintendo Wii users have had lots of fun with the Nintendo Mii Channel because through this, users are able to create characters that they can use in the games, so it’s like really putting yourself into the game. To make things even better Nintendo launched a new channel called “Check Mii Out” on November 11. This aims to promote more interaction among Wii users since they will be able to upload, view and vote the best Mii creations.

To make gaming even more fun for hard-core Nintendo gamers, the company finally unveils the Wii Zapper. By its name alone you can already envision action-packed activities. But what actually is this Zapper? Wii Zapper is handy housing for the Wii-mote and Nunchuck controller that when integrated altogether looks like a hand gun…a plastic one anyway. The Wii Zapper will be available in stores just in time for the holiday shopping. And aside from the Zapper Nintendo has another special treat! The Wii Zapper pack will come with a Zelda game. What could be more exciting for fans?
Nintendo Wii Still on Top in Japan!
It seems like there will be no stopping the comparison among the game consoles. Almost every month facts and figures are being drawn out just to show which among the Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 is the most dominating one…using sales figures as the basis. But so far in the recent count, Nintendo’s Wii still holds its own on the top most spot in the Japanese market! For the sales statistics in August, Nintendo was able to sell 245,653 units; comparing to Sony’s 81,541 units obviously Nintendo still holds up the trump cards…and that despite Sony dropping the price of their PS3s. All these numbers are quoted by the Japanese game magazine Enterbrain.
Nintendo Announces New Brain Age 2 DS Lite Package

Nintendo yesterday announced the arrival of their new addition to the DS Lite handheld game console. There have been some reports about this upcoming new DS Lite in the previous months but it was only yesterday that Nintendo officially confirmed it. The new DS Lite is a stylish and colorful one, just like the other goody game consoles released by Nintendo. This one’s color scheme is called crimson and onyx, but simply put, it’s a red-and-black color combination.

The fact that Nintendo Co. was included in the top ten companies in Japan should be a victory in itself. Nintendo co is now in line with huge and well-known companies like Canon, Honda Motor and Toyota motor corp. Making things sweeter is the icing on the cake as Nintendo Co. also rose over Sony Corp. in terms of market value! It is really such an achievement since Sony with its Sony PlayStation has dominated the game industry for the past ten years. Sony’s market shares dropped by 1.1% or 6.50 trillion yen while Nintendo’s shares were strong with 1.5% increasing its market value about 6.54 trillion yen or $53 billion.
Nintendo Wii Sets Goal of 35M Units Sold by 2011

Nintendo in particular aims to be number one by declaring its target sales of 35 million Nintendo Wii consoles in the US market alone by the year 2011 or 2012. According to NPD Wii also remains to be the fastest selling new console as seen from its sales performance over the last five months of being out in the market. The DS as well is making it well in the market with sales units just a little short of reaching 1.25 million for the first quarter 2007. With these figures Nintendo really went over ahead its competitors.
Sega NiGHTS Exclusive for Wii

Nintendo Wii gamers will be glad to hear that there is a new addition to their enjoyment. Game developer Sega has recently announced that they are developing the sequel “NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams” exclusively for the Nintendo Wii. Gamers are in for another one of a kind gaming experience, as Sega America Vice President of Marketing Scott A Steinberg said, “We plan to deliver a game play experience never before seen on the Wii with 'NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams'. The game takes full advantage of the unique Wii remote controller, enabling gamers to guide NiGHTS through spectacularly designed dream worlds intertwined with a story about hope and courage."
