Nintendo has issued a color refresh for its DSi portable gaming console in North America! Nintendo America announced on Tuesday after that the DSi will soon be available in cool matte blue and hot matte red color! Nintendo intends to take over the glasses-free 3D mobile gaming! How? They plan to do that with their new glasses-free handheld 3DS! With this device you’ll have pure 3D entertainment on the go. To be available on March 27, the glasses-free handheld 3DS will come with a $250 price tag.

Nintendo of America president and chief operating officer Reggie Fils-Aime is obviously proud of their upcoming offering. He said that the 3D experience provided by the new handheld 3DS is “something you haven’t experienced before. Not in theaters, not in trade shows.”

Nintendo gamers will be glad to know that the console maker has come up with a new controller, the Wii Remote Plus, which has everything you need to make any Nintendo game more realistic. The Japanese game developer has integrated a MotionPlus sensor into the new Wii Remote.

At present, Wii owners have to plug in a separate sensor for a more realistic gaming experience. But with the all-in-one Remote Plus, there lesser cables lying around in the game room or in the living room. For sure this is going to replace the present Remote being used by Wii enthusiasts.

Don’t feel left out if you haven’t bought the Nintendo DSi and DSi XL. It’s actually a good thing that you haven’t because come September, you’ll be able to get them at a much cheaper price! The gaming console maker is slashing $20 on the price of the said consoles! The DSi XL will be up for grabs at $169.99 and the DSi at $149.99. Yey, Nintendo fanatics can rejoice with this great news!

Some might think that $20 isn’t much, but hey, that still means great savings if you’ve been dying to have this handheld console in your possession!

The new Nintendo 3DS measures 5.3” x 2.9” x 0.8” and weighs 8 ounces exactly. With weight and dimensions, there’s no doubt that the new 3DS is very handy. Now, comprising this weight is a top screen and bottom screen. The top screen features a 3.53-inch LCD 3D display that doesn’t require special 3D glasses. This screen has 800 x 240-pixel resolution. As for the bottom screen, which only measures 3.02-inches, a 320 x 240-reolution has been given.
