Asus unveiled two netbooks that are based on the AMD Fusion APU or accelerated processing unit. With the processor they possess, the Eee PC 1015B and 1215B netbooks promise superior performance unlike any other.
The Asus Eee PC 1015B, which will ship with Windows 7 Starter, is a 10.1-inch computing device with a LED backlit WXGA display having 1024 x 600-resolution. This is specifically powered by an AMD Fusion APU C30 1.2GHz single-core processor or a C50 1.0GHz dual-core one matched with DDR3 SO-DIMM 1GB or 2GB memory. Hi-definition Audio, Codec, stereo speakers, and integrated microphone are its audio features. It also has almost all the ports thaty you could ever need. Connectivity is by way of 802.111 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, and more. A 0.3MP webcam is present as well.
I like the look of the Fujitsu LifeBook PH520. This netbook comes with a very eye-catching red paintjob. No one will surely miss it on the store shelf! Aside from its very attractive casing, the LifeBook PH520 also features an 82-key keyboard thatís fully spill-resistant. For sure this is great news for those clumsy people out there!
Another noteworthy feature of the LifeBook PH520 is the Crystal View panel that is built with 1366 x 768-pixel resolution. Fujitsu also managed to include a 1.3-megapixel webcam on the netbookís lid for video chats and conferences.
Do you want to own a netbook that oozes superior performance and eye-catching style? If you live in the U.S., you're in luck because the Sony Vaio W has just gone stateside! And you know what? This model has Billabong style written all over it. If you love Billabong then, you're going to love this netbook just as much. This version of the computing device is fondly called Imperial Lime Edition.
As you can see, the lid is made up of lime green, sky blue, and black. Well, some of you might not find it great. Those who love abstract art will do for sure.
Samsung has introduced a new netbook, the NB30 Touch, with touchscreen capability. Maybe you wonít find it that exciting since it isnít the first one to have this kind of feature. The Asus Eee PC T91 gets the credit for that one.
Now, the Samsung NB30 is equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen display that is quite intuitive. Some of you might not be impressed by its resolution which is 1024 x 600 pixel. The fact that it is loaded with the latest Windows 7 Starter edition is a big help too in its superior response.
LG wonít let itself be left behind by its competitors. Itís still days before the CeBIT but the company has already given a few teasers of what itís going to unveil at the event. As teasers, three new Netbooks has been revealed, and these are the LG T280 Ultralight, X140, and X200.
The obvious leader of the pack is the LG T280 which will be available in two options of processors, a 1.3GHz Pentium dual-core or Core 2 Duo. No matter which processor is chosen, an Intel GMA 4500 will be used for graphics. This also features an 11.6-inch display, 320GB or 500GB hard drive, and 2GB RAM. It will be Wi-Fi ready as well. Since this is more advanced itís likely to come with a price tag ranging from $990 to $1,094.
Even though a netbookís performance is that good, not many would be tempted to buy it unless it has a competitive price tag. Sometimes, or maybe most of the time, buyers primarily decide whether to buy or not depending on the price. MSI is one of the most competitive netbook makers in the market today. In fact, the company has a new offering, the special edition MSI Wind U135, in order to suit the needs and budget of consumers.
Wow! Nokia has taken its undertakings a notch higher with the announcement of its new Booklet 3G netbook. Never thought youíd see the day huh? Nokia is serious in its effort to conquer the netbook market with its highly-capable Windows-based device. The Booklet 3G is a nice-looking device with an aluminium case, 1.25kg weight, 2cm thickness, and 10-inch HD-capable display. And based on the titbits that Nokia has revealed about its new netbook, the device boasts 12-hour battery life, which is very beneficial for people who are always on the go.
Hannspree North America, Inc is a maker of consumer electronic products. It is one of the leading companies in its field; however, does it know what itís taking on with the addition of a netbook to its range of products? What edge does Hannspree have against huge netbook makers as Acer, HP, and Dell? Well, we donít know. All we know is that thereís a new 10-inch netbook available in the US market today that bears the name HannsNote 10. Itís an ultra-mobile laptop that is ideal for school, business or personal use.
Do customers really like 10-inch netbooks rather than those a bit bigger? Based on Dellís experience, this seems to be true and correct. The companyís Inspiron Mini 12 models are a testament to the fact. This line is suffering from customersí snobbery that is why Dell is discontinuing its production altogether. At this time, the 12-inch netbooks are still available at Dellís outlet stores; they are the last of them. If you are a fan of the 12-inch Mini, now is the time to grab hold of one because theyíre going to be extinct pretty soon.
Sony is the latest brand to enter into the netbook market. The Vaio W-Series is the evidence to Sonys latest venture. The new Sony netbook is ready and will go on sale next month. Powering up the latest Sony creation is a 1.66GHz Atom N280 processor. Sound familiar? Itís the same processor used in various netbooks today. It has 1GB system memory and a 160GB 5,400 rpm hard drive. Now, the Sony Vaio W-Series features a 10-inch screen with 1366 x 768-pixels resolution. Its resolution is better than what other netbooks have though.
Asus and Disney. This seems like an unlikely partnership; but it seems to work as companies set to launch the product of their collaborative efforts. Come July the new Disney-themed netbook, which is fondly named Netpal, is going to be available for die-hard Disney fans. Asusí know-how in computers and Disneyís expertise in cartoons resulted in the creation of this uber cute laptop! The Netpal sports some seriously delightful cover design thatís finished in Princess Pink and Magic Blue colors. Who can resist such?
HP recently launched a netbook thatís intended for professionals looking for the perfect computing companion. The model Iím referring to is the HP Mini 5010 netbook. Looks and performance are two factors you neednít worry about in the Mini 5101 because it has it all. Sleek and durable at the same time, the 5101 is made of anodized aluminum with black brushed finish. The aluminum composition makes it tougher than other netbooks that are made of plastic. Adding to its stylish look is the magnesium alloy with rubberized feel at the bottom part and its palm rest.
Hewlett-Packard recently introduced a new netbook that its customer would surely go nuts over. The Mini 110 is a successor to the popular Mini 1000 netbook that was released a few months ago. The new Mini 110 is pretty similar to its predecessor in terms of hardware with only a few additions and improvements. Some of the new goodies installed in the Mini 110 include the bigger hard drive capacity, improved graphics performance, and additional USB and monitor ports.
Lenovo launched a new netbook that will eclipse its netbook competitors. Thatís if, itís really true that it delivers 10 times faster graphics than other laptops available in the market these days. The netbook in focus here is the IdeaPad S12 that features the NVIDIA ION graphics processor. FYI, the NVIDIA ION is one of the latest technologies intended for small, low-cost laptop PCs, according to Lenovo VP Stepehn DiFranco.
Aside from this excellent chipset, the S12 is equipped with Intel 1.6 GHz Atom N270 processor. Also helping in its fast performance is the 1GB DDR2 533 MHz memory, and 160GB SATA storage.
