Motorola’s Droid 4 got its Ice Cream Sandwich update in Q3 of last year but you know what? If you own a Droid 4, be informed that it won’t be stuck to running ICS forever. It will be getting Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in the next few days!

Droid 4’s carrier Verizon has already approved the update so it’s just a matter of time before you get a notification update on your phone. Droid 4’s support page has the “Coming Soon” label as well as further details about the update.

Here’s news that developers will surely welcome. Motorola happily announced the presence of the new Motorola Atrix HD Developer Edition, which means they can now tinker with the device to their heart’s content!

The new Motorola Atrix HD Developer Edition comes with unlockable bootloader that gives endless customization potential. But users must be aware that phone’s warranty becomes void once the bootloader gets unlocked. But then, I’m sure that doesn’t matter to developers.

One of Motorola’s new famed handsets, the Motorla RAZR i, has landed in Brazil! This handset is the result of the joint venture between Motorola and Intel and from the looks of it this partnership is proving beneficial as they conquer new territories.

As the saying goes, some promises are meant to be broken but with this broken promise is sure to break a lot of hearts, Motorola-loving hearts that is. You see, Motorola wasn’t able to live up to its promise of providing Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for all the devices it has announced.

Did you know that Motorola has finally unveiled the device which boasts what they call as the “edge to edge screen?” Indeed they have and it’s called the Motorola Razr i with its 4.3-inch Super AMOLED screen. But aside from the distinct edge-to-edge display, this phone possesses a powerful Intel processor, particularly the Intel Atom Z2460 that operates up to 2GHz! This is the fastest in a smartphone according to Motorola.

Two press events will be hosted by Motorola this month. Invitations have been sent out to the media so these are really valid events. The dates touted in the invitations are Sept. 5 and Sept. 18.

But what exactly is going to be unveiled at these events? New phones that’s what! The invitation for the Sept 5 states “Motorola: On Display” while the other one says “Let us take you to the edge.”

Motorola has given users more control over their smartphone and tablet by offering a bootloader unlocking tool named “Unlock My Device!” The website dedicated to this tool is already live for those of you who want to check it out.

According to the site, the bootloader currently supports Photon Q 4G LTE phone. Devices enumerated in the other supported devices section include Motorola RAZR developer edition, Motorola XOOM and Motorola XOOM Wifi.

Dual-SIM phones are a number in the market today but triple SIM ones? I don’t think so. In this regard, Motorola makes a first again in the Motokey EX117! With this phone, users can use not just two but three numbers! Isn’t that exciting?!

Two new Motorola handsets are coming to the United States via US Cellular network! The two handsets are the Electrify 2 and the Defy XT. Take note that the Electrify 2 will be available online starting August 1, that was yesterday and it will be in stores today August 2 for $199.99 after a mail-in rebate. Motorola Defy XT, on the other hand, will be available in stores and online on August 3 for $99.99 after rebate.

Wow happy are the Motorola Xoom owners because the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system is theirs to download! In fact, the rollout has already started last Friday based on the announcement that Google made.

According to the announcement, this Jelly Bean update is only available to Motorola Xoom owners in the United States at the moment. And take note that it is only currently available to the WiFi model. There’s still no information as to when Jelly Bean would reach Xoom 3G and 4G or other countries for that matter.

The next-generation Atrix from Motorola has been revealed! Previously codenamed “Dinara” the Motorola Atrix HD just landed on the company’s website yesterday.

I think all of you Motorola fanatics will be glad to know that it features a 4.5-inch Colorboost HD display bearing 720 x 1280-pixel resolution. It’s also protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass. This offers vibrant color for viewing photos, videos, and web browsing.

By now, I’m sure Motorola Droid RAZR and Droid RAZR MAXX owners are already bored waiting for the new Android Ice Cream Sandwich to arrive on their handsets! But if you are an owner, it looks like your wait will soon be over!

Apparently, carrier Verizon sent out texts to owners informing them that the update they’re all waiting for is coming very soon. That looks to be just right because a new leak of the Android ICS build has been spotted! It has the build number 6.16.211!

Have you heard? There’s a new Motorola handset coming to Verizon this summer. The phone is the Motorola Droid RAZR HD, which some also refer to as the Droid Fighter. Initial info about this device was first leaked in March, but then that info wasn’t that substantial. Luckily a leak regarding the Motorola Droid RAZR HD has surfaced.

It looks like Motorola is also planning to release the third generation of its Atrix phone. Fresh leaks surfaced online about the Atrix 3 that will be heading to carrier AT&T. Codenamed “Dinara,” this smartphone was released in China last year and it seems it will finally hit AT&T sometime this summer. So, if you are planning to get a device from AT&T, I guess it won’t hurt to ask about the Atrix 3.
