The iPhone 5S, who among you are waiting for the launch of this next-generation handset from Apple? Well, just two months to go and you’ll be able to witness its launch because according to Japanese blog MacFan the launch will take place on June 20. And after its launch, the iPhone 5S is expected to get released during the first week of July!

As you can see, the time span between the launch and release is not that long so there’s no reason for customers’ enthusiasm to get dampened.

Apple has always been very particular about the size of their iPhone offerings. They started with a 3.5-inch screen and the biggest screen they’ve come up with is 4 inches in the latest iPhone 5. This is why it’s surprising when Ars Technica received photos of the supposed prototype of the earliest iPhone showing a huge display!

The photo of the prototype shows a device with a display around 5 inches wide, 7 inches tall and 2 inches thick! Close inspection of the photo also reveals the many ports, including USB and Ethernet, attached to it.

Rumors and speculations about Apple’s iPhone 5 can finally be put to rest because the phone has been unveiled yesterday at the event in San Francisco. The iPhone 5 is thinner and lighter than its predecessor the iPhone 4S. It weighs 112 grams and is 7.6mm thick with its anodized aluminum body.

It also has a bigger 4-inch Retina multitouch display than all the previous iPhones. It specifically has an 1136 x 640 resolution with true 16 x 9 display ratio. It’s perfect for viewing HD videos. But take note that despite its bigger screen, the iPhone 5 is not wider or taller than the previous iPhones.

By now, fanatics are excited for the unveiling of the fifth generation of the the iPhone 5. Apple has sent out invitations for a major event on Sept. 12 to be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts n San Francisco. Apple didn’t say that it will be the unveiling of the iPhone 5 but it seems likely.

But just days to the event, a new leak about the device has surface online! Chinese website Vgooo.com published a video showing the supposedly iPhone 5 side by side with the iPhone 4S. The handler compares the two devices on all angles in order for viewers to spot the differences as well as similarities.

However, D-Series stands for “disposable camera for iOS.” This is basically an app containing 24 shots that allows friends to capture photos using the 24 shots at the same time no matter where they are using an iPhone. They should be wireless connected of course to share the 24 shots.

Friends can invite each other through Facebook. After doing so, they can immediately start shooting images they want. But here’s the catch, unlike digital cameras, D-Series doesn’t show the captured images if the 24-shot roll isn’t all used up!

An Australian flight had a nasty surprise after touching down in Sydney. Apparently, an iPhone 4 exploded inside the Regional Express flight LZ319! It also gave off dense smoke inside the cabin. Good thing it was noticed immediately and a quick-acting flight attendant successfully extinguished the self-combusting device.
