Hewlett-Packard is in trouble again because of faulty laptop batteries. The company recalled approximately 70,000 laptop batteries because of overheating problems. Last Thursday, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall. The faulty batteries came to attention when two reports of batteries overheating and suddenly going up in flames were reported. It’s a good thing though that the damage was just minor ones.

It’s been a while since Hewlett-Packard released a new notebook. The company finally had the time to launch a new notebook PC – the Touchsmart tx2. It seems that HP is catching on with the more advanced form of touch technology. You can say goodbye to conventional mouse clicking. Tapping, prodding, and poking are the ways to go with HP’s new Touchsmart tx2. To navigate through the screen, users can use more than one finger at the same time. This feature is referred to by HP as “capacitive multi-touch technology.” But it also comes with a stylus that for on-screen navigation.

Two new laptops have been unveiled by Hewlett-Packard. The HP Compaq 6735b and 6535b are the two latest models to be installed with the new AMD Puma platform. These two new laptop models are meant for business purposes thus are built to fit the function. The HP Compaq 6735b is a 15.4-inch laptop much bigger than the 14.1-inch 6536b. Both these laptops have almost similar configurations. In terms of processor, you have a choice whether you’ll go for AMD Turion X2, Athlon X2, or X2 Ultra. And what’s built-in include the ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphic card and an amazing 8GB RAM.

Hewlett-Packard unveiled the two latest models in its HP TouchSmart PC lineup. With the new IQ504 and IQ506, the company is “redefining home computing”. Imagine creating a playlist, viewing photos, and watching movies – just manipulating them all by hand, literally!

Make Art”. This is a competition that is open to everyone around the globe that has the capacity to develop a unique design that will be used in a special edition HP notebook PC. Contestants can make use of any subject or theme that he or she is most passionate about, starting from music, fashion up to environment. Upon submission of the design contestants will also have to give a brief explanation, like 25 words or less, about their concept.
