I’m sure many have expected that this will already be out by Christmas, just in time for the holiday shopping, but due to some circumstances Nintendo has no choice but to put it off for a little while longer. But the wait will be all worth the wait according to some who had the privilege to see the playable version demonstrated at the press conference held in San Francisco and Tokyo just last week.

Halo 3 All Set for Midnight Release!

This third and last installment of the Halo series is anticipated to exceed the sales of the Halo 2 which sold $125 million on its first 24 hours in the US market. Like other major releases, the Halo 3 will also be available at midnight in more than 10, 000 stores across the United States. These stores will sell 3 versions of the game for a price of $6, $70 and $130.

Guitar Hero III Heading to the Mac and PC

Guitar Hero III: Legend of Rock will be coming to the PC and Mac as declared by Aspyr Media last Wednesday. This is made possible through Aspyr’s collaboration with companies Activision and RedOctane. New edition of the said musical game will be developed in order to match the games that are being used in game consoles. And of course, being new editions entitles the Guitar Hero III to new features. It is going to be an action packed game with multiplayer action, battle mode, boss battles, online multiplayer mode, original artist recordings and real rock venues.

I’m not likely to forget this game because my brother would not let me play, and I could see that it was such a fun game to play! EA 'Electronic Art' has announced that they have renewed their Lord of The Rings license & will start working on their next project with New Line Cinema & Tolkien Enterprises for a scheduled release of new games in 2008.
The first game based on the Oscar-winning Trilogy was developed by EA in 2001.
Details about the new games have not been released ... But who cares! As long as they promise to deliver those new games ... We're happy!

Hobbyists Can Now Create Games on Xbox 360

During the Gamefest 2006, Microsoft revealed that it will be releasing a new programming tool that would enable hobbyists, amateur game developers, students and ordinary gamers with basic knowledge on coding to create their own game on the Xbox 360 console. This game development toolkit called the XNA Game Studio Express is based on the XNA platform. It will be available free of charge, will run on Windows XP-based computers and can also be used to make Windows XP games.
