My computer mouse has become boring, & even if I wanted to buy a new one, nothing dramatically different will happen! Still boring!
But ... Things have changed! Now I can choose from a series of great, fun & most importantly unique bunch of computer mice made by Swiss manufacturer of individual computer mice, Now.
Three of my favorite mice are the floating Koi fish red mouse, the floating duck blue mouse & the spicy chilli shaped mouse.

Despite that I’m not a fan of mini mouses, this particular mini wireless USB and optical mouse is really interesting, what’s interesting in it and makes it special is that you will never need to change its batteries because as long as you are using it, it gets its charge from the mouse pad that comes with it which magnetically charges the mouse.

Samsung launched a 32 GB Flash based solid state disk drive (SSD) which seems very promising, first it reads data at 57 MB/s and writes at 32 MB/s, which means it's twice as fast as the latest 1.8" hard drives; its noisless and consumes only 0.1W when not in use and just 0.5W under load that is just 5% of the electricity needed to power a hard disk drive!

Such consumption in power could add 20 to 40 extra minutes to your laptop, and if you are traveling with your laptop, you will be caring less about its weight since the Samsung 32 GB Flash disk weight is only (15g)!

It seems we will be saying good bye soon to rotating discs found in conventional hard drives.

A computer disc with a capacity of 300GB using so-called Tapestry holographic memory technology to store data by interference of light, will go on sale in 2006, according to its American developer InPhase Technologies, a Lucent spin off.

These new discs are able to read and write data at 10 times the speed of a normal DVD and can hold 60 times more data; which means through this technology 'Tapestry', we will be able to store more than 26 hours of broadcast-quality high-definition video on a single 300GB disk, recorded at a data rate of 160Mbps.

The discs are 13cm in diameter and a little wider and thicker than conventional DVDs.

Sony Electronics announced a new removable hard disk drive: the Compactvault drive. This drive has a capacity of 5GB which make it able to hold up to 2500 JPEG images at 2MB each or 200 minutes of MPEG4 video. Sony's 5GB CompactVault drive also features high transfer speeds of up to 12MB/sec and it uses compact flash type II slots, such as those found in digital still cameras.

Shipping of Sony's 5GB CompactVault Drive will begin later this month with a suggested retail price of $199.99. It will be available online at SonyStyle.com

Lupo, a Japanese company, manufactured an environmentally friendly, recyclable PC case that is made entirely out of cardboard as you can see in the picture.
The recyclable cardboard PC case is now commercially available in Japan.
