Prada, Dolce and Gabbana, and Armani have all ventured into launching their own handsets or cell phones. Guess who’s joining the bandwagon? Christian Dior has launched a fashion phone that will surely outdo the previously mentioned brands!

Befor the launch, last week, the Dior phone was rumored to come in a clamshell design.
Well, the speculation was correct and it comes in various shades in a slim clamshell design.
And it comes with a very expensive price tag ... hold your breath ... $5000!

When I hear about music phones what usually comes to mind is Sony Ericsson with its series of Walkman phones. But now music phones should not only be associated with this brand because Nokia has also come up with its own models of music phones – the new XpressMusic series composed of the Nokia 5320 and the Nokia 5220. These two music-enabled devices will work together with the new Nokia Music Store. These candy bar-styled phones will come with a price tag ranging from $254 to $350.

Going to the specifics of each phone the Nokia 5320 XpressMusic runs on the S60 UI Symbian platform. It has 3G/HSDPA connectivity. As a device dedicated t o music, the Nokia 5320 features external music controls, stereo Bluetooth, stereo FM radio and a 3.5mm audio jack. Another neat music feature of this device is the Nokia Say and Play that enables the user to control the player by means of his voice. This is also integrated with N-Gage gaming for more entertainment that is why it has an 8-way navigation keypad. Other features include the 2-inch 16M color TFT display, 2 megapixel snapper and microSD card slot for up 8GB memory. This will be available in black/blue or black/red motif.

Those designer fanatics out there might own a Giorgio Armani dress or accessory but here is something that you may never have thought of: A Girogio Armani Phone! That’s right the Korean company Samsung joined up with Giorgio Armani to create the one and only Giorgio Armani-Samsung luxury mobile. The phone comes with a 2.6 inch LCD touch screen and contains a 3.5 mega pixel camera. It weighs only 80 grams but with it you can browse the web, listen to MP3 tracks and receive files via Bluetooth.

If you’re looking for superb-looking handsets then you can have them under the Samsung badge. While surfing the net I had a glimpse of the excellent look of the two new handsets from Samsung, the Samsung F490 and the P720. Maybe I’m easily impressed… but I just really think these two new handsets look great.

The F490 is a high-end phone with 5-megapixel camera. And the most noticeable feature is the huge 3.2 touchscreen that features 432 x 240 resolution. Through Orange Telecom France residents will be able to avail of the standalone iPhone for a slightly lower price than what is being offered by neighboring country Germany. This much-envied multimedia device is now being offered by Orange for $964. This smartphone without the service plan is Orange’s response to the population’s clamor for a more affordable iPhone. There are already 12 Orange stores in France offering the iPhone without the service plan. This is quite convenient for fans that want the iPhone for a more affordable price.

With the many cell phone brands available these days and a lot of similar handsets coming out, some of you probably want an exclusive phone, one that would only have few lookalike. Verizon is very active these days. It again announces a new handset in its lineup. It is another Samsung beauty, the Gleam. Personally, I find it a very stylish phone with its black and bronze theme. iPhone can now be converted into a Skype VoIP handset using the new application called the IM+ for Skype that’s created by SHAPE Service, a German software developer. The IM+ for Skype will run using the Apple Safari browser integrated in the phone. The application is designed specifically for the iPhone and can operate on any type of network. NTT DoCoMo announced that thy will be releasing new phones that will bear the motion-sensing feature. By this month DoCoMo will release two FOMA 904i series phones primarily in Japan.
