RadioShack Offers $99 Acer Aspire One!

As you know, netbooks are already very popular because of their portability and affordability. After Asus Tek’s Eee PC, many other computer makers followed suit, one of them is Acer. This company also offers the lightweight netbook Acer Aspire One. And you know what? This holiday season, Acer has teamed up with RadioShack in bringing you a more affordable Acer Aspire One, priced only at $99! Here’s the catch, it comes with a 2-year data contract with AT&T’s mobile broadband service. The owner would have to pay $60 per month for two years. This offer has started already yesterday, December 14 and will run until December 24 in all of RadioShack’s 4,400 stores.

Acer Aspire Predator Comes to the U.S.

American gamers have a new PC to salivate about, the new Acer Aspire Predator. This is the latest gaming PC that will give any gaming addict the superb graphics and gaming agility. This PC comes in two types of configurations. The cost depends on the kind of configuration the PC has. The first model which has a price tag of $1,650 is equipped with 2.5GHz Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300, 512MB GeForce 9600 GT graphics card, 8GB DDR2 SDRAM (2GBx4), and two 640GB 7,200rpm hard drives. The higher-end model comes at a price of $2,200. This has 2.83GHz Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550, 512MB GeForce 9800 GTX, 8GB DDR2 SDRAM, and three 640GB 7.200 rpm hard drives. Both these models will come equipped with 64-bit Windows Vista Home Premium.

It’s been a while since I last heard about a new laptop release from Acer. One of the recent laptop released by this computer maker released is the Aspire 8920G. This number belongs to Acre’s Gemstone line of laptops. Considered to be one of Acer’s superb machines ever produced so far, the Aspire 8920G features an attractive full HD display measuring 18.4 inches for viewing files and other types of media. It sure is a great laptop to have since it comes in several colors, including slick blue, black, and silver. And there will be no mistaking that it is an Acer laptop because of the Acer logo placed on the lid. Other great things about this laptop are the textured NeoWave palmrest and touchpad, the illuminated power button and the status indicators.

Acer to Develop Its First Smartphone

Acer is a company that is known for making excellent desktops and laptops. It has been in this business for a long time now. Maybe it has proven its expertise in this field that why the company is branching out to a territory fairly new to it – smartphones. Acer President Gianfranco Lanci recently announced that an Acer smartphone would be released at the end of this year or early next year. The device would be powered by Microsoft’s Windows. Once this smartphone gets released, it will make up 10% of the company’s revenues the company said. Acer’s smartphone would be initially sold to wireless carriers instead of going directly to retail.
