Measuring just 3.9-inches, the 40-inch Full HD is now the thinnest LCD panel in the world! Just imagine, this LCD is 2mm thinner than the standard #2 pencil. This latest entertainment device is even fondly nicknamed “Needle Thin LCD.” With the size it has, it’s not surprising. It would be great to own this baby and be able to display it in the living room.

Non-English Characters Coming to the Web Soon!

Web addresses are about to change! If you think that it’s going to be confined to the English language for all time, you’re wrong. Pretty soon you’ll see web addresses in various characters like Korean, Arabic, Japanese, Hindi, Greek, and Cyrillic. Internet users in these countries will be able to surf the web in their respective languages.

This move to permit other characters other than English is still set for approval on Friday, which is the final day of the meeting that the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) is holding in South Korea.

2009 GITEX Technology Week: Where Goods and Gadgets Await!

2009 GITEX will run from October 18 until October 22. This year, over 3,000 companies from 65 countries are participating in the event. Well-established companies as well as new institutions are taking part this year. Thousands of innovative products and technologies are being unveiled at the said event being held at the International Convention and Exhibition Center in Dubai.
