Google-Branded Touchscreen Chromebook Set for 2013

Google’s Chromebooks have not been a spectacular ever since its first edition but they did not do badly either. They’re just somewhere in between. Even though this is the case, Google is not deterred. In fact, it seems that the company is planning to produce a line of self-branded Chromebooks!
China Commercial Times recently reported that Google is eyeing touchscreen Chromebooks for 2013. Previous models of the computing device did not have touchscreen capability.
And in order to make this plan a reality, Google has apparently contracted electronics companies Wintek and Compal Electronics to putting together the touchscreen Chromebooks. Around 20 million units have been ordered by Google for its initial run.
Google is planning to ship the touchscreen Chromebooks by the end of next year according to Commercial Times.
I’m sure that Google is hoping to get better sales with their Chromebooks that’s why they are rebranding and changing some of the specs. But the question is, will the touchscreen Chromebook gain more attention and sell better?
