Nvidia has announced a new video card! Announced at the GeForce LAN/Nvidia Game Festival in Shanghai, the new GTX 690 graphics card is a creation that Nvidia is very proud of because of its excellent design and of course, performance.
First of all, the GeForce GTX 690 uses the new 28nm Kepler architecture that the company announced last month. And instead of plastic, the new graphics card uses thixomolded magnesium alloy for the fan housing which gets rid of heat much better. As for its performance, the new GeForce GTX 690 promises speed 2X faster than the predecessor GTX 680.
During its unveiling in Shanghai, Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang asserted that this new graphics card was designed to deliver the highest performance of any graphics card in history. He also said that special attention was given to “every single detail so that they could deliver the highest thermals, the highest acoustics, and the highest electrical performance with its particular design.”
