Android Activation Reaches 200 Million Mark

More and more people are going for Android devices and evidence of that are the 200 million devices that Google activated up to this month. A spurt was specifically seen in the past six months because from 100 million activations last May, the figure jumped to 200 million after six months!
This achievement was announced by Google at the Googlr Music Press Conference in Los Angeles on Wednesday. The Internet giant also revealed that they activate 550,000 devices on a daily basis.
These 200 million activations is just a reflection of the news that Android already took over 52 percent of the smartphone market in the third quarter of 2011. With this market share, it seems Android has already surpassed Apple’s iOS which holds 15 percent of the market. It’s also way ahead of Nokia’s Symbian which has 16.9 percent.
Google’s Android is really going far and wide! The little green bot is going to dominate pretty soon!
