Research in Motion is developing a new phone that will supposedly run RIM’s new BBX operating system. In case you’re wondering, BBX is based on its QNX platform. BlackBerry London is the name you have to remember for if you want to be among the first to check out BBX!

Aside from being a BBX-run device, BlackBerry London is also equipped with pretty good specs. It’s going to be powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz processor with 1GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. Its screen size is rumoured to be 4.3-inches, which is big enough.

Documenting precious moments can be done through the 8-megapixel camera at the back. If you’re going to have video chats with your family and friends, there’s also a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for your convenience.

However, its design and physical appearance is different from typical BlackBerry handsets. Based on the leaked photos obtained by The Verge, the BlackBerry London is an edgy phone that it can stand on its side if you manipulate it that way. And there isn’t a physical keyboard so, it’ going to be pure touchscreen. And take note that it’s rumoured to be thinner than the iPhone 4/4S!

Intriguing device isn’t it? The BlackBerry London will supposedly be launched in 2012.
