Sony VAIO W Series Eco

As expected, Sony is also at CES. Did you think this company would let itself be left behind by its competitors? Of course it won’t! Sony is so enthusiastic to reveal its new creations, just like the Sony VAIO W Series Eco. Yup, it has the word Eco, which means it’s a green or environment-friendly device. The Sony VAIO W Series Eco is a netbook or mini PC that features a 10.1-inch LED display with 1366 x 768 resolution.

Sony used recycled materials in making this netbook but by its appearance, you’d have a hard time believing it because it looks wonderful with its pristine white finish, apple green palm rest, and patterned touch pad. Due to the recycle materials, Sony states that as much as 10% of CO2 was reduced during its production.

Although it is an environment-friendly device, the new Sony VAIO W Series Eco is capable of superior performance. It is equipped with 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 CPU, Intel GMA 3150 graphics, 1GB DDR2 memory that is expandable to 2GB, 250GB hard drive. For people on the go, this netbook can provide up to 8 hours of work on a single battery charge. Not bad eh?

Other features include: motion eye camera, microphone, Wi-Fi, multimedia card reader, expresscard slot, Windows 7 starter edition. With all these, Eco has a starting price of $479.
