MMORPG to Invade the Arab World!

Tahadi games

An invasion is coming to the Arab world, so you folks out there had better get your arms ready! But take note, it’s not the harmful kind. The Massively Multimedia Online Role-Playing Gaming (MMORPG) is coming to the Middle East as former Maktoob CEO Samih Toukan launched Tahadi – the new online gaming company (For those of you who doesn’t understand Arabic, Tahadi is an Arabic word that means challenge). This is the latest addition to Jabbar Internet Group.

Presently, MMORPG is not that popular or visible in the region, but with Tahadi in existence, that is about to change. Only Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Kuwait are the countries in the region that are being considered as the primary market for this. Tahadi already has three titles ready and these are Ragnarok, Crazy Kart, and the Runes of Magic. Gamers can look forward to these titles early next year. And apart from that, one of Tahadi’s goals is to launch at least three games every year – for free! And since it’s free, the company aims to generate revenue from advertising and optional purchases of virtual items.

Tahadi will localize successful games and from there it also hopes to modify in-game graphics and background to reflect some of the Arab culture.
