Fifth generation iPod Nano has just landed and I sooo love it! Someone made me a gift of the fourth generation Nano and I just love using it. But, this new model is even better! Not much has changed in terms of appearance, except for the larger color display which now measures 2.2 inches. Apple ensured this larger screen for the user’s viewing pleasure for video capture and playback! Yep, the new iPod Nano how has a Video Camera! this one of the biggest highlights of the new generation iPod Nano.

The camera which is fixed right at the back can capture 640 x 480 standard definition video at 30 frames per second. Seven special effects can be used if the user wants to touch his videos. These are thermal, mirror, x ray, motion blur, sepia, and cyborg. Any video captured will automatically sync with iPhoto when the Nano is connected to the PC. This feature is the best one I like about the new iPod Nano. But, the goodies don’t end there!

An FM Radio now comes with the device. This feature is so great because it allows RDS station info display, tagging songs, and even pausing and rewinding! Wow! Where else can you find such a feature? It also has a Voice Over that speaks out the artist or song that’s currently playing. And if the user doesn’t want to shuffle his songs manually he can just let the Genius have its way. Now, Apple is also concerned about the user’s health that’s why the latest iPod Nano is equipped with a Fitness feature. This is a great tool where the user can record data regarding his work out.

It’s available in 8GB and 16GB model. Nine brilliant colors are available to choose from. Well, I really love this new iPod Nano. Maybe it’s time for me to upgrade!
