Here comes the Buddha phone! Yes, you are reading right. This phone is actually no the first Buddha-inspired phone to hit the market. A previous model in a candy bar design was launched last year. This 2009 Buddha phone, also dubbed as the C91, is more stylish and unique to look at. Its difference with the previous model is very obvious. Whereas, the previous model is candy bar in shape, the C91 Buddha phone is circular in shape.

The phone’s exterior has gold detailing with a Buddha icon in front. Opening it up clamshell style will reveal a circular keypad. Notice how the digits and alphabet are on the outer portion of the circle and the navigation keys right at the middle.

The C91 Buddha phone is mainly a luxury phone… a collector’s item if you must. However, don’t expect much in terms of performance. It features a 2” LCD display, a 1.3-megapixel camera, dual SIM card slots, and a microSD memory card slot. As a luxury phone, it provides entertainment on the go with its integrated FM radio as well as audio and video playback.
