Asus and Disney. This seems like an unlikely partnership; but it seems to work as companies set to launch the product of their collaborative efforts. Come July the new Disney-themed netbook, which is fondly named Netpal, is going to be available for die-hard Disney fans. Asus’ know-how in computers and Disney’s expertise in cartoons resulted in the creation of this uber cute laptop! The Netpal sports some seriously delightful cover design that’s finished in Princess Pink and Magic Blue colors. Who can resist such?

And take note, the Netpal isn’t just all about appearances. It’s packed with Windows XP Home, 1GB RAM, 1.6-GHz Intel N270 processor, and an 8.9-inch display with 1024 x 600-resolution. Two models will be available; one with 160GB HDD and the other with 16GB SSD. Storage is the only difference with the two models. Both will have a 3-megapixel camera, a VGA port, 3 USB ports, and SD/MMC card readers.

And the great thing is, Disney included some goodies for the laptop like Disney-inspired pre –installed themes and various Disney specific software! The Netpal is a tough baby with spill-proof keyboard and Asus’ Shockshield technology that gives protection against data loss.

This new laptop will be available for $350 at Toys R Us and Amazon.
