The competition for the thinnest and lightest notebook isn’t over yet. Lenovo unveiled its latest lightweight notebook, the ThinkPad T400s on Tuesday. This notebook’s total weight is just below 4 pounds. The ThinkPad T400s is sports a black casing that is just 4/5 of an inch thick. And although it’s thin, T400s packs quite a performance. Its 14.1-inch screen has a 1440 x 900 resolution. Powering it up is the 2.53-GHz Core 2 Duo processor, 2 GB of RAM, and a solid-state drive. Customers have an option between a 128-GB SSD and a 250GB hard drive.
The only drawback about the ThinkPad T400s is it doesn’t have a video card so graphics is a bit feeble. Its 6-hours of battery life will give you enough power to complete your work when you don’t have anywhere to plug it in. It supports Wi-Fi and 3G data networks. It also has an Express Card slot, and optional DVD burner or Blu-ray disc player.
A great new goodie that Lenovo added to the ThinkPad T400s is the ability to turn on the power with just a swipe of a finger on the fingerprint reader.
The Lenovo ThinkPad T400s has a starting price of $1,599.
