Yahoo 360’s Days are Numbered

I can’t say that I’ve had much pleasure of using Yahoo 360. For a social networking site, I guess Yahoo 360 left a lot to be desired. Since it was in 2005, Yahoo 360 only had a handful of faithful users. It never achieved the level of success that Yahoo hoped that time. After putting off closing down the application several times since 2007, Yahoo has finally announced the final sentence for Yahoo 360. July 13 will be the last day that users will be able to enjoy the said networking site.

For you to actually believe that Yahoo 360 is going to be put to rest, here’s an excerpt from the company’s email to its loyal members. “We will be officially closing Yahoo 360 on July 13, 2009, to focus our efforts on making your new profile on Yahoo the place where you connect with the people who matter to you most. As a result, you will need to move your 360 information to your new profile before this date. After July 12, 2009, your content on Yahoo 360 will no longer be accessible."

However, those who have important content on their Yahoo 360 account can still save them on the new Yahoo Profile service. In addition, users also have the option to download their content and upload them on other blog publishing services.
