Nokia has its own services online store, the Ovi Store. Developers can easily list down their programs in the catalog so that customers can gain access to them. Nokia users just have to visit the store on: ovi.com if they want to download or purchase some programs that they want to have on their phones. If you visit Ovi Store you’ll find different applications such as: games, videos, and podcasts... and the contents available in the store are compatible with over 50 Nokia handsets, so almost everyone is covered.
To gain access to the Ovi Store, a user just has to install the on-device client. Those who live in Australia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Russia, Singapore, or UK will have the cost added to their bill. Users have the option whether to pay through mobile operators or through their credit cards.
The Ovi Store which was just launched this Tuesday is very new, unlike iPhone’s App Store or Android Market for Android handsets. So, comparison is not really applicable at the moment. Well, have to wait a few months and see how Ovi Store fares.
