Sony Ericsson is giving what the market wants; an Android-powered handset. It was last year that the company announced it will be releasing such a phone. And after being silent on the subject for several months now, Sony Ericsson finally had something to say on the subject. The Android-powered phone is coming soon according to Sony Ericsson’s Asia-Pacific Vice President of Marketing Peter Ang. But just how soon is “soon”, well, only Sony Ericsson can tell. One thing that’s sure is, it will run Android 2.0 also known as Donut. As for the unit, Mr. Ang only said that it will have some features of the Xperia X1, like the interactive panel interface.
Sony Ericsson Phone with Android 2.0 Coming Soon
The Android operating system will be the third kind that Sony Ericsson uses to power up its phones. Sony Ericsson immediately dispelled the rumours that it will be limiting the use of the other operating system it uses which are Symbian and Windows Mobile.
The Android 2.0 version has yet to be released so that means the Android phone from Sony Ericsson won’t find its way in the market next month as what others are speculating.
