If you think that the Wii’s motion sensing controller is the best innovation to ever happen in the gaming business, think again. Microsoft is cooking up something that will possibly surpass Wii’s controller. Pretty soon the Xbox 360 will have a matching video camera that will enable users to control how the game proceeds by means of their bodies. The camera is built with 3D technology that detects the player’s legs, arms, and head. It enables players to steer through the screens and have control over the action going on.
Motion-Sensing Camera Coming Soon to the Xbox
This upcoming Xbox 360 camera is produced by Microsoft’s reportedly newly-acquired company, 3DV. However, Microsoft hasn’t confirmed whether they really bought it. This piece of news came from the story Journal published on Tuesday.
However, it’d sure be wonderful thing for Xbox fans if a motion sensing camera becomes available. And maybe, just maybe, Microsoft will be able to overtake Nintendo as the leading company in the unending video game console wars. Or maybe it’s just wishful thinking?
