Motorola won’t be left behind as various cell phone makers introduced their latest offerings at the CTIA Wireless 2009 in Las Vegas last month. Motorola in partnership with Cricket Wireless introduced the Motorola Evoke QA4, which is latest affordable but most sophisticated handset by the said carrier. In fact it’s the first touchscreen by Cricket Wireless.
You might think that it’s a bad-looking phone, however, its not. This oval-shaped slider phone is stylishly slim and features a 2.8” 240 x 400 LCD screen. A ridged phone keypad is revealed when the screen is slid right up. By turning it on its side, a virtual QWERTY keypad is revealed; a feature that’s in favor of people who don’t want to use the conventional keypad. Other features to look forward to in the Evoke is a full HTML browser, a special MySpace app, SMS and email applications, and video streaming from various sites. With these capabilities, the Evoke lets anyone stay connected with friend and loved ones any time.
But aside from those, Motorola Evoke also supports stereo Bluetooth audio, 256MB memory, MicroSD card up to 16GB. The 3.2-megapixel camera with video recording capability is also a handy feature of the Evoke.
Motorola evoke will be available in May, though the price has not yet been announced.
