Sharp Mebius PC-NJ70A Features LCD Trackpad

Sharp Mebius

Netbooks coming out these days are becoming more and more alike. But, not Sharp. This maker aims to be different from the rest of the pack with its new Mebius PC-NJ70A. It sports a very interesting trackpad which is also an LCD. Is there a netbook that has this kind of feature? I don’t think so.

The LCD trackpad can do a lot of interesting things. You can use it as a paint program, calculator, piano keyboard, and a bowling game. The LCD trackpad is 4 inches with 854 x 480 resolution that is why you can do all these things with it. Apart from the 10.1-inch main display, this LCD trackpad also serve as a secondary display.

However, the internal components might disappoint you a bit. It operates using a 1.6GHz Atom N270 processor which is supported by 1GB of RAM. In addition, Sharp’s Mebius PC-NJ70A is equipped with a 160GB HDD, three USB 2.0 ports, and multicard reader. It also comes with Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR.

The official price and date of release has not been set yet. But rumors have it that it’s going to cost $817. This price tag is expensive for a netbook, right?
