The fourth generation of Microsoft Zune might be coming our way soon! Leaked photos of the said media player are all over the internet as I write. Well, it’s still just rumour, but if what we are seeing now bears a close resemblance to the actual media player, well I sure would like to be the first to have one.
The upcoming device labeled as the Zune HD features a widescreen display, which is said to have a touch screen capability.

In the photos you’ll see that the widescreen display is housed in an aluminium enclosure and glass. Underneath the widescreen display is a single button that can be used to navigate through the applications of the Zune.

The suffix HD in the name is there for a reason. It indicates that the media player can play high-resolution videos. Aside from the exterior appearance which is only based on the leaked photos, we still don’t have much data about the Zune HD. Also a part of the speculation going around is that the Zune HD will come in 8, 16, and 32GB versions.

If there is a grain of truth in this news we’ll behold the Zune HD in the later part of this year.
