Sony PlayStation2 Price Drop

The Sony PlayStation 2 has been introduced way back in 2000. And now there is already the PlayStation 3 that’s expected to take its place. But Sony’s hopes for the PS3 has been dashed because it didn’t sell as expected. Maybe now Sony is hoping people will still buy the PS2 game console. On April 1 it announced a significant drop in the PS2’s price – from $129 it is now available for $100. With this kind of price tag, I think even non-gamers might be tempted to buy one.

The current PS2 on sale right now is a much slimmer version of the original. Both the black and silver version of the PS2 is sold for $100. Although the new games coming out these days are not compatible with the PS2, there are still companies like Activision-Blizzard and Electronic Arts that produce games for the PS2.

So, will you get the PS2 with its lower price tag?
