The new iMac that has recently been unveiled will surely capture the hearts of die-hard Apple fans. The 24-inch monitor is only available at $1,499, which is quite affordable compared to previously released iMacs. Running at a speed of 2.66GHz this new iMac can deliver the kind of performance expected when multitasking. The 24-inch screen with its 1920 x 1080 resolution can really provide excellent viewing whether the user is looking at documents or movies.

Some might say that not much has changed in the 24-inch iMac when compared to the previous models. Well, they are quite right. Apple only added a few features in the exterior and these are the USB 2.0 port and the Mini DisplayPort jack which replaced the Mini DVI output. It’s the underlying parts that Apple gave much attention to. The Intel Core 2 Duo is the same with the previous model; however, the memory and the graphics chip have all been upgraded. This new iMac boasts 4GB of RAM and 640GB hard drive.
