Dell is really living up the netbook hype. It recently added the Inspiron Mini 10 to its line of netbook offerings. This netbook will initially be launched with pre-loaded Windows XP operating system. It is a competitive netbook because it comes with an Intel Atom processor, 1 GB of memory, 160 GB hard disk drive, and LED Screen. If the user is used to small screens he won’t find the 10.1-inch widescreen display any different. It also features a multi-touch gestures touchpad, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support.

Even with these specs, Dell doesn’t seem to be content. It plans to offer an optional 720p high-definition display, 2GB memory, and a 250 GB hard drive in the near future. Optional global positioning system and an internal digital TV tuner is included in the future plan. Later in the year, Dell Inspiron Mini 10 will also be available with Vista and Ubuntu Linux operating systems.
Pre-orders for the Mini 10 have started already last February 19, not with Dell rather with its partner QVC. QVC offers the Mini 10 with its own bundle – 4GB SD memory, productivity software, and free shipping – for $559.
