Guitar Hero Soon to Rock on Google Android

Google Android

Owners of the first Google phone, T-Mobile G1, are lucky because they can play Guitar Hero on the device soon. Some of the Guitar Hero tracks that will be available are Deep Purple’s Smoke on the Water and Guns n Roses’ Welcome to the Jungle. We’re not sure how Google phone owners will react to this because previous applications have been free of charge. This game is the first application that comes with a fee from the Android Marketplace.

T-Mobile G1 is supported by the Android operating system. Android hopes to bring desktop computing to mobile device; hence the G1 was launched late last year. Other handset makers are also willing to support the Android platform. These mobile phone makers are LG, Samsung, HTC, and Vodafone.

It’s a wait and see scenario on how the new Guitar Hero application will fare in the Android Marketplace. As of now, five of the most popular applications from Android are the Weather Channel, MySpace Mobile, ShopSavvy, Daily Horoscope, and the Free Dictionary Org. Maybe next time, Guitar Hero would be on the top spot.
