Do you remember the partnership that Microsoft Xbox 360 made with the DVD company Netflix? This partnership seems to be paying off already. Netflix revealed on Thursday that one million Xbox 360 users are already using the movie streaming service provided on the device. This is the accumulated number in the 3 months of partnership between the two companies. 1.5 billion minutes worth of movies and TV episodes was watched by the Xbox Live community, according to Netflix’s records.

This number of users will still increase if Netflix presents some more appetizing offers. I guess not everyone can afford the $9 monthly subscription fee for the movie streaming service. Right now, Netflix’s service is only available to Xbox LIVE Gold members who can afford to pay a $50 annual fee to Microsoft. Netflix’s library contains approximately 12,000 titles, though most of them are older Hollywood movies; subscribers still have a long way to go before they get to watch them all.
