Aside from looking extremely stylish with its stainless steel parts with 18 carat gold plating and high-quality leather, this latest addition to the Nokia Arte lineup, the 8800 Gold is also full of exciting features.

It has a tap-for-time feature. Notice the leather below the screen? You have to tap it twice and a clock is revealed in the 2.0” OLED display. Another is the turn-to-mute mechanism that if a call comes at an inopportune time the user just has to turn the phone with the screen down, and it will immediately grow silent.

With the features mentioned, I’m sure you’re dying to get your hands on one. Well, just make sure hand s are clean because Nokia’s anti-fingerprint coating on the metal and glass areas of the phone can only handle so much. The slide phone also has precision ball-bearings, exclusive soundtrack and living wall papers, and a 3.2-megapixel auto focus camera. The 3G capability gives you a way to be connected anywhere you happen to be.

The new Nokia 8800 Gold Arte seems like a great device to have eh? Pricing is expected to be around 1,190 Euros. By Q2 it’s going to be released in Southeast Asia Pacific.
