Remember Commodore? This is the company that made the best-selling PCs in the 80s. Though not many remember it now, it is still in operation. In fact, it is now also getting involved in the latest trend in netbooks. At the recently held CES, Commodore announced its new line of computers, netbooks in this case - the F and J Series netbooks. Both these series feature 10.1-inch screens, ample for viewing documents and applications that need to be accessed. Commodore also provides choices as to the processors to make them run. It’s either the VIA C7 or Intel Atom processors.
Commodore’s Upcoming F and J Series Netbooks
Both the F and J Series will have 1-2GB RAM. Ample storage is provided with the 160GB hard drive. They will have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability. They are designed with 3 USB ports for any portable device. Both series will operate using Microsoft’s Windows XP operating system.
This is the company’s first venture into the netbook market so, if you compare it to other netbooks already out in the market today, you’ll find them wanting.
