Lenovo Comes up with Dual-Screen ThinkPad

Lenovo Dual-Screen ThinkPad

If you think Lenovo doesn’t have any surprise, you have another think coming. This computer maker has come up with a new Lenovo ThinkPad with Slide-Out LCD screen, named as the Mobile Workstation ThinkPad W700ds. This new notebook is a first of its kind. We have seen some desktops having dual screens but not a laptop right? Lenovo’s reason for this initiative, “Most people are using two monitors at their desktop. So we wanted to give them all the things they are used to on their desk.”

I’m sure you’re curious to know what else this dual-screen laptop holds for you. It has a 17-inch primary screen and a 10.6-inch slide-out screen. It has quad-core Intel Core 2 processors and Nvidia Quadro mobile graphics CPU having as much as 128 cores. 8GB of DDR3 memory and a pair of hard drive/solid-state drive with up to 960GB storage space are also included in the package.

Take note, however, that this ThinkPad is a bit heavy – 4.98 kilos – maybe due to the dual screen. It’s also more expensive at $ 3,600.
