Check out RIM’s Blackberry Storm Touchscreen

RIM Blackberry

Research in Motion finally unveiled the handset that will be its competitor to the iPhone. The Blackberry Storm looks like it has what it takes to rival the iPhone with its all-touch-screen design. Yup, you can already gain access to the various applications by merely touching the screen, a feature which RIM calls as Click-Through Technology. You have to physically press the screen to activate the application you need to. Four buttons are found at the bottom of the screen that users can click if they don’t want to use the touch-screen. This new device supports 3G as well as Verizon’s EvDO rev Network. Bluetooth and GPS are also functional within the phone. Be warned though that it does not have Wi-Fi.

Measuring just 4.4-inches long and 0.48-inches thick, the Blackberry Storm boasts a 3.2-megaxel camera featuring an autoflash, autofocus, 2X digital zoom, and video capture support. Storage is not a problem with this handset because it comes with 1GB internal memory. If you think that’s not enough for you, a MicroSD Card is also present. An 8GB MicroSD card will ship with the device.

Aside from the innovative Click-Through Technology, the Storm also has the following interesting features:
• Visual Voicemail
• First Rate Email features with support for corporate email systems
• Verizon’s VZ Navigator software
• Instant Messaging

This new Blackberry Storm will be available under Verizon network.
