Technological advancements are numerous... Well in celebration of this Ramadan, LG has released a new Plasma TV which has the capability of playing Quran on its screen! The TV has all 114 chapters of the Quran and allows you to choose up to 10 favourites and to flick through them easily. Better still you can browse the Quran in Arabic or in Farsi. It comes in 42 inch and 50 inch versions with 160-gigabyte hard disk.

It is a nice change of pace to see a technological advancement that is in fact helping people become religious as opposed to taking them away from religion. However, there are speculations about how popular this TV is going to be, it has a limited audience and people are hardly going to buy it simply because you can read the Quran on it!

We will just have to wait and see how well it does in the market.
