Canon Launches Three New HD Camcorders

Three new nigh-definition camcorders under the VIXIA line have been announced by Canon. These are the VIXIA HF11, VIXIA HG21 and the VIXIA HG20. So, what makes these new camcorders special? When you buy them you also get the Pixela ImageMixer 3SE video editing software with Blu-Ray disk burning support. They also have more storage capacity and high-definition image quality for excellent video recordings. High-definition videos are possible through the 24Mbps bit rate recording ability. HD CMOS Image Sensor, DIGIC DV II Image Processor, Instant Autofocus and SuperRange Optical Image Stabilization are some of the other goodies found in these three new VIXIA camcorders. These are the common features of the three new camcorders.

Now, let’s take a look at their individual structures.

The Canon VIXIA HF11 camcorder is based on Dual Flash Memory. It has 32GB internal Flash Drive that can contain up to 12 hours of HD videos. If this storage is still not enough Canon HF11 also accommodates a removable SDHC card which can be directly recorded in.

The Canon VIXIA HG21 has 120GB Hard Disk Drive for holding up to 45 hours of High Definition videos. On the other hand, the Canon HG20 holds 60GB Hard Disk Drive for recording up to 22 hours of HD videos. Both of these VXIA models can record directly to an SDHC card if the HDD is not enough.

The HF11 costs $1199, the HG21 is $1299 and the HG20 is priced $949. Which one would you buy?
