Gigabyte Netbook M912V

I’ve only recently heard that there’s a company that named Gigabyte that makes laptops. Actually, I only stumbled on a picture of the product. Gigabyte’s product is none other than the Netbook M912V which is a tablet PC having an 8.9-inch screen that swivels! From its screen size you can assume that it is a mini-laptop. I think the great feature about this is its swivel screen that can be moved at 180 degrees and it is also a touchscreen. Mounted right on the lid is a built-in 1.3-megapixel web cam. Since the screen can be swiveled it will be easy to capture videos or still shots at any angle.

Now, let’s go to what makes the Netbook M912V run. Gigabyte installed it with the Intel 1.6GHz Atom processor, Intel 945 chipset and 1GB DDR2 Ram. This is complemented by a 2.5-inch HDD that comes in three options – 120, 160, and 250GB. For listening to music as well as video conference, there are built-in 1.5 Watt speakers. Likewise it has 3 USB ports, Bluetooth, and 802.11 b/g wireless. Battery life will last you 3.5 hours.

Netbook M912V is another neat-looking mini-laptop. Which reminds me, do you think this can compete with the ever-popular Eee PC?

Compete with the Eee PC? If it:
- is fully compatible with Linux
- is not too expensive
YES!

I really want a tablet-style netbook, a nettablet, if you will... It would be the best of all worlds if Gigabyte can make this happen for a reasonable price.
