After a long time of silence Blackberry is taking up the news once again. There have been linked photos of a rumored new handset from RIM. This new handset is called Blackberry Thunder which is also said to have the potential to rival the iPhone? Is this true? Well, let us see the rest of what Thunder has to offer. This new Blackberry phone has two kinds of touch keypad - full QWERTY and SureType. These two can’t be used at the same time. SureType can be used for portrait mode while QWERTY is for landscape or in sideways position. The screen is huge as you can see from the picture, which is 360 x 480 resolution.

Some of the things that make this Blackberry Thunder great are the new UI or user interface and the multimedia player. Yes, with Thunder the user is also allowed to watch movies and videos. And if this also has multi-touch capability browsing using WebKit will be a breeze.

Not much data about Blackberry Thunder has been released yet. Understandable since it’s not yet official. We will keep you posted about this.
